Medical Arts Building

In 1929, the Noyes Mansion was torn down to make way for the exciting new Medical Arts Building. Constructed in popular art deco style, the building served as the center for doctors, dentists and other health care providers to more effectively and conveniently serve
their patients.

Like the other well-known art deco buildings in Rochester--Times Square Building, Little Theater and the Reynolds Arcade--the Medical Arts building featured angular, geometric shapes, black decorative details and streamlined aerodynamic design principles that mimicked the modern industrial age. After more than seven decades, the ten-story, 71,000-square-foot building had lost its largely medical clientele and much of its art deco detail. Flower City Management purchased the building with the purpose of restoring it to its
former glory.

Today, the Medical Arts Building has been transformed into an exciting new urban destination with upscale retail, commercial and Manhattan-style apartments conveniently located near downtown, the East End entertainment district and Park Avenue.

The Medical Arts Building features totally brand new, luxury one and two bedroom apartments from 600 to 1200 square feet. Apartments may feature private terraces or access to common rooftop decks as well as brand new windows. On the tenth floor, there is one very special 1,000-square-foot penthouse apartment surrounded by a private, rooftop deck and incredible 360-degree views of the city and Lake Ontario.

These Manhattan-style Apartments feature modern kitchens with stainless steel appliances, ceramic and hardwood floors throughout, gas fireplaces, your own thermostat, a spacious underground parking garage and state-of-the-art security.

The Medical Arts Building is one of only three buildings in Rochester that is registered in the U.S. Green Building Council's Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED) program of the U.S. Department of Energy.

The entire building infrastructure has been fitted with geo-thermal heat pumps that use the ambient temperature of the ground 240 feet below the surface to both heat and cool the building. A closed-loop system of pipes carries the heated and/or cooled water throughout the network of shops, offices and apartments. This innovative system gives tenants their own thermostat and the ultimate in zone heating and cooling that's more than 40 percent more efficient than today's conventional heating and cooling equipment.
